Dreaded green poop

The green poop mainly indicates starvation mode. Daffy has lost his appetite.

The biggest source of concern is the puncture wound. That means bacteria from the dogs mouth has been injected deep into the duck's system. If you only have money to spend on one thing it should be some penicillin from the feed store. Do this ASAP. Infection can kill in just a day or two.

Continue to soak the wounds in warm Epsom salt daily. An antibiotic ointment should be applied in between soaks.
@azygous im currently at feed store they only have one type of penicillin bactracillin g a short acting and a long acting description states cattle and sheep. Will this be ok? I can afford the 11 dollar bottle and doing the injection doesnt bother me if you tell me where. Im thinking of injecting on the good thigh. Meatest part.

UPDATE ON DAFFY:
yeaterday he got his first shot of penicillin. While i was watching him bath I noticed another puncture wound hidden under the wing. This was starting to get infected. But we cleaned it up and by late afternoon I was able to get him to eat puree veggies and water that was a strong mix of savachick & nurti drench. Every half hour Id offer the veggies the nutri drench and plain water. He has semi soild poops again. Still some green bit Im seeing some brownish orange now. He even shows me he can stand and take a few steps. I came home to some spoild veggies being eaten. He's bathing now. Will be reapplying blue kote after he dries off. Another shot of penicillin is also part of the plan.

I have no advise, but I hope he continues to improve. You sound like you’re doing an amazing job!
I usually work with cats and dogs. Ive recently expanded to sheep, ducks and chickens. They're so fragile and Im worried I might do something wrong. Thanks for the postive feed back. Its very helpful and it keeps me motivated.

There's something about a duck, sort of like a puppy, that you just have to love. All the signs are encouraging so far. An antibiotic can very quickly make a big difference.

It sounds like Daffy is in good hands. Just keep doing what you're doing.

Here is Denna the Duck's story. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/duck-injury-penicillin.1014685/ She also had a run-in with something that wanted to eat her. You might find the information on how she was treated with penicillin helpful.

Further update on Daffy:
So while energy and mobility are increasing (i take him trying to bite me a plus he only tries once or twice then lets me do what i got to do) Im concerned he's not eating more. Theres more soilds in his poop (for awhile it was watery and tinted green) and now its very dark green. Some white. Everything I give him has nutri drench mixed in. Yesterday his water was a strong mix of that. My thinking is if its alittle at least its packed with the essentials. Is there a time frame as to when I should be seeing an increase. He takes alittle of everything I offer every single time. Going to keep adding the baby oatmeal he seems to like it. I want to puree some leafy greens but then Inwont know if poop is green for that reason......well were not giving up.

Guess Ill be doing daily updates now
#1 i seriously think he spilled food all over himself just to get a bath. I was gonna skip it.
#2 i deciede while he was in there Id throw in some grain and pellets and cat food (dry) hes eating all that so im happy. Well most of it. Hes splashing around alot now.

this poop is an improvement? Theres more orangish brown now. That is all for now.

No green in this mornings poop. Walking more. Enough to get back in the kiddie pool and on top of the pillow with the hot water bottle underneath. Also enjoys fluffy towels out of the dryer. I hope he doesnt want to be a house duck.
