One of my incubated eggs has recently hatched and I noticed that the yolk sac seems to have been absorbed, but the dried-up membrane is still attached to the chick's rear by the cord. I'm worried because it's been a few hours and it hasn't detached by itself. The chick is acting normal and doesn't seem to be bothered by it but I'm keeping it in the incubator for now so the other chicks don't peck at the sac. I'm wondering if this is normal because this is the first time I've experienced this.
