Our two IB cocks are 5 years old. I know they are near the end of the breeding season but this year Phoenix, who is the Beta cock, has dropped his train feathers already. Usually they don't drop their feathers until around the end of July. But, they did start acting hormonal early this year...in March. Sapphire, who is the alpha male, still has all his feathers and is still displaying and screaming, though he's been screaming less lately. Usually they shed around the same time, so I am just trying to make sure nothing is wrong? Both are acting fine.

I got 2 out of 5 dropping their train so far , as long as your birds look happy and healthy i think ya'll will be fine, it seems to have been a wonky year for everyone with peas this year.

Here are the 2 that are losing their train fast, i did find a couple white eyed feathers so i guess Pie is next.

These boys lost all these feathers in about 7 days , Master.P to the right of them is still strutting his stuff .

OH, good, glad to know that! I got a fairly decent market going for the feathers....the peas have earned their keep for awhile....
