Drunk chicken?

Well it’s Sunday morning, roughly 5/6 days since Darla was nearly a goner. Probably not out of the woods yet but she was out of the sink this morning on her own so I let her in the yard. She went to the feeder but as warned, Katniss my queen bee took her as a target quickly so I kicked the others out of the pen for a half hour and sat with her to see if she would take to feeding/watering herself. She didn’t. Certainly more active and up today thought. Walking, little bit of pecking the ground. I situated her in a kennel in the chicken pen so she can adjust. Fingers crossed we are only moving forward. Thanks again everyone 🙏🏼

Look who’s back with the flock! Think I can say we’re out of the woods. She fed herself yesterday in her crate. When I got home from work I opened it up and she walked herself into the coop with the others and got up on a roost for the first time in a week and I think/hope she was very happy to be off her belly. We have two roosts, she stayed in the lower one alone for the 10-15 minutes I stayed outside and monitored the group. Watched them all come out together this morning and congregate at the waterer like usual and then morning perch and check feathers. Can’t say I understand what actually was wrong, but happy it’s over and I still have 4 in the flock 🥳
