Dry and wet fowl pox?

She might need some "internal" antibiotics. Puss is usually sign of infection.
Is a vet out of the question?

Immediately, probably so.

It's difficult to afford (I've been out of work for almost all of a year with cancer treatment - I'm doing much better) ... and we also live in FL and everyone is focusing on hurricane right now.

Do you think a feed store will be open tomorrow near you? You might be able to get some antibiotics there. I know some feed stores still sell over the counter antibiotics ..they just aren't "labeled" for poultry but you could give them a try..?
I really don't know here...I'm just guessing.

Possibly.

They are doing a big business right now - everyone buying up feed. The one nearby didn't have any antibiotics but maybe I can find it at another one.

nose is leaking puss because its connected to the eye. warm compresses on the eye to start with and you do need some antibiotics as well as antibiotic eye drops. You should be able to find Tylan sub q at TSC . Then go to a pharmacy and ask for short needle diabetic needle .

As @granny hatchet mentioned - you can try Tylan50 which is found at most Tractor Supplies - since you are in FL right now with the hurricane coming in, they may be sold old - if they have any, you may want to pick some up. Ointment like Terramycin can sometimes be found at Tractor Supply, but again - they made be sold out, you can also use Vetericyn Eye Gel or order some Ciprofloxcin eye drops online. Even with antibiotics, the pus still needs to come out - as discussed previously, chicken pus doesn't dry up, so it has to be removed.

I didn't realize she was outside - you may want to bring her in, keep her warm and away from the other chicks, flies, mosquitoes, etc. It may also make it easier on you to have her confined so you don't have to try to catch her several times a day.
