Hi all, the one baby chick I had that's yolk sack was still attached is super lively and eating drinking like a champ for the last 3 days. He was the only one to hatch and is getting lonely. I have a broody buff orpington I was thinking about trying to get her to adopt since we have no rooster and she wants chicks. She is my nicest of all my broody hens, never pecks at me when I check under her for eggs daily. My question is if my chick still has his yolk sack attached but it's pretty dry will she pack at it and cause damage if she adopts him? Or should I just keep him in my brooder alone for a while longer

This is when it was wet. I didn't have a photo after it dried. I introduced him to broody last night and everything seems ok right now. They are just snuggling. I'm just hoping now that it's dried if it got pecked at if it would be bad or just come off
