It is better to dub a rooster when It is younger. However, I had a Leghorn with a very large comb. Similar situation. I used Styptic power, which stopped the bleeding faster than I have ever seen. Make sure you use the correct scissors, and that they are sharp. I have seen people use Razor blades to dub roosters and It never works out 100%.
Link to Styptic power I used: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/four-paws-quick-blood-stopper-styptic-powder
I also recommend controlling his movement, less movement will mean less bleeding.
Good luck! You should do great.
Just a note, don't get the blood stop or styptic powder in his eyes. You'll need to apply it quickly so rig a blindfold first. Make sure it can't get under it.
Also calling a regular dog and cat vet is less likely to get you help. Can you find a farm or large animal vet? They can be more willing and practical.
Thank God u reply ..what is Styptic pls tell .I've some Bottle Of CIPLA Called Blood Stop Powder , all topicals ready surgical scissors , I do buy surgical blades but I don't know how to use them
Ohh okay but how to blindfold him?

Styptic is the Blood stop Powder. Like another person said, make sure it doesn’t get in his eyes. Good luck and make sure to use Antibiotics!
