HI ALL!!! i am so happy i came across this thred! I

d'uccles and am just starting to try to breed. In fact my golden neck hen Honey was my first chicken ever!

I got lucky and found her and ever since then i have wanted to breed her and make little golden neck babies

but there are not many ky breeders of d'uccles but then i looked up the genetics and learned that you have to have a golden neck and a porcelin to make golden neck babies

well i searched and searched and searched and FINALLY i found a pair of porcelin

and this was about 3 weeks ago. Now that my new pair are out of quarintine i got to put them and my golden neck together in the cage to breed!!!!!!!!! so hopefully in 2-3 weeks i can have some eggies to put under one of my broodies! i also have a d'uccle hen "buns" that is solid gold with a purple tail but i have no idea what to classify her as maybe a butterschotch? anybody have pics of a butterschotch? anywho im hoping to be able to show my golden neck babies if i get some good ones. I have pics of honey below but i have to get pics of the new pair.

I am pretty sure these are 3 different girls. They all look so much alike and we haven't had them long enough for me to tell them apart yet.

I will have to get some good pics of Napoleon. He is hard to take pics of because he is always trying to keep the girls away from us.

What do you think?

I have had Millie for at least 40 year and have had the others several year. I at one time did a lot of showing in the midwest.

Cool! Could you post some pics of your stock? Im sure all of us would be interested in seeing them. How did you get into the D'uccles?

My fowl are show type , no hatchery birs here, I might sell some eggs later on after the first of the year. Soon as they feather up will post some pictures.
