he is homely but he is only 1 month old, so i am hopeing he fills out more. And considering he is just the first generation of the frizzle d'uccles he looks pretty good i would say for a frizzle in first generation.

Yippie, you never know, someone else's bird may not have quality feathers and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the show and the new hen! PLEASE let us know!!!

Shay, you are so right. You have done well in that aspect with the correct parents. After your all done breeding and others catch on, I'd love to know how you make a frizzle. Even a Frizzle cochin or silkie etc. I think frizzles in B.Cochins have a much different personality then the soft feathers.

Today was awesome! So we were the only D'uccles, I talked to the judge, he said to get rid of my roo, so im going to try and rehome him. He said that my Porc are really nice and to work on finding a roo for them. SOO... anyone have a nice Porc roo they want to sell???

I have pics i will post later!

At least there wasn't competition. I'm anxious to see the new hen and how she compares to what I have. What was wrong with your roo and do you have a pic of him? Thanks for sharing if you do!

I don't have any good pictures of the hen because when i tired to pose her she flew away (luckly it was into the cap of the truck) lol so i closed myself in the truck and caught the little bugger!

This is Venture, BB, BV

This is Sweat Pea

Fredrick my rooster

And the rest are my new hen, she was hatched this year, im gonna get her tested and bring her to the Boston show

Very nice, yeah Frederick doesn't have the body form of a d'uccle, at least not in that picture anyways. Maybe he was just scared when you took that pic. The new hen looks great! Does she have any flaws did he say or is she potential SQ? How far back can the judge trace her lineage?

Honestly i havn't looked at her tooo much, She has a lot of body to her, the person we bought her from us a judge and said she should do me well...-shurgs- He has a really good reputation and everyone told me to some from him. She has really good coloring, i will try and get better pictures tomorrow. Im going to bring Fredrick to another show just to see what he does, can't hurt. But im still going to try and replace him.
