Pics
Ok, here are some photos, we are dealing with high temps and some very hard to kill mites, so no one looks there best.

Twinlights I love your pics! Sorry about the mite situation - absolute pain sometimes! It was really nice to see the brown red in 'real life' - very pretty.... I also really like your golden necks, and the blue mille fleur... and the blue chick.... guess I just like them all. Thanks for going to the trouble of getting the shots and then getting them online.

Your welcome!
Hopefully I will get some more interesting colors to post, once the young ones start to mature.
Its hard when it is soooo hot, they are not happy and the mites love the heat. I am trying something new. Lets hope it works!
None of my hens are laying right now.

Not very active thread right now! So I will jump start it with some photos of my flock, enjoy.

Hey Twinlights, I enjoyed those pics - some of the more unusual colours there that I have not seen many pics of... thanks for sharing!

Wow, the d'uccle thread has really gotten popular lately! I am still breeding d'uccles, both porcelain and mille fleur. I am still learning. Next year I'm going to start asking for some serious breeding advice and start posting pics with 'Who should I breed to who....?" questions. But for now, my garage needs a break! Hopefully I've gotten some more people hooked on d'uccles this year to help support the breed!

My Porcelain gang (one cockerel and 7 pullets) are now in the pen with a four hole nesting box. Most of these are Teddi babies - hatched from your eggs. They are starting to lay. Next step will be hatching their eggs next Spring!

Pen #2 has a Mille Fleur cockerel, 3 Mille Fleur pullets, 2 Self Blue pullets and a White pullet, with a two hole nesting box. It will be interesting to see if I can get some new colors from that group. I want a Blue Mille Fleur! If I had another pen, I'd do the colors separately.

I will have hatching eggs for sale soon.

Oh and I'm on the lookout for a really nice Self Blue roo!!!

Thank you for this post. Been interested in the D'uccle but it's been difficult finding local folks with them. Besides their beauty, I am interested in them for another reason that may seem strange to some. My mother was from Belgium and she passed away last year at age 95. I'd like to try raising some as a tribute to her.
