Talked to the neighbors today about Tuff’s crowing (it’s getting more frequent and I felt terrible about it) and they said word for word, “What crowing? I don’t know what you’re talking about. Have you HEARD our kids outside?”

Puts my mind at ease now that I know they don’t mind Tuff Tuff’s song of his people :lau

I wish I had neighbors like yours. All I got was threatening letters and texts (which went ignored, as there's nothing they can do anyway).

D’Uccles are smaller than my normal sized silkies :) I have two runt silkies and I think they’re slightly larger than the d’Uccles. Here’s a picture or two for reference.
We have a bantam Light Brahma (still a baby), glad to hear how sweet they are! Still trying to find buffs locally before I cancel my McMurrays order and might go LF, but I just love the bitty things 🥺

Yeah bantam buff Brahmas are tough to find! I put a bid on some hatching eggs but probably won’t rebid if they outbid me….for now 😁

I was afraid of this (well, still am) although one neighbor tells me no one is going to care, and that she can't wait for my roos to start crowing. I'm hoping being in the coop til 8 will keep them calm. They're 16 weeks this weekend. My polish crowed a few times when he was scared a few weeks back, but nothing since. My silkie roo just chit chats. :fl

I hope you get lucky! My hens are lots more obnoxious than my roosters haha. Once they get going the whole flock joins in! Little Dude, my Olandsk Dwarf rooster, is inside a DARK Eglu Cube and still crows loud and proud every morning! 😆 My neighbors told me it’s not at crazy hours so they don’t care 😍 My bantam Cochin roo rarely ever crows…it’s a mixed bag for sure! 😁 I hope if I have a Polish roo he’s like yours!
