Some chickens tend to molt very fast, which can put a lot of stress on the bird. But, she should be fine :)
It's been over 20 days and she's still on roost!

she only comes out if I pick her up. If not during the evening hours right before sunset and she's always first to bed. She lost more plumage as well. I took a good look at her! She does have leg mites I have been treating with olive oil every day . Also, put poultry dust on her. I could t find any mites on her plumage. She doesn't have any bare spots . She's is growing new plumage. It's just been so long! I changed her diet. to higher protein , eggs, yougurt

This is my 3 month old Mille Fleur D'uccle chick. This is my first Mille Fleur baby I've ever hatched out. I had 13 more eggs but she stopped sitting after this little girl.

mine will hide in the coop to avoid a rooster, especially when molting, he must be too much for her.

We have a baby cockerel who I normally keep in a separate coop and they rarely range together. He did try to get her once and i grabbed him put him away. He's only 10 weeks or so. He's not crowing and attempting to get the smaller hens like my bantams. She started this behavior before I took him outside. Just not sure what else to do? But wait....
