D'uccle Thread

I just look at it and from what I see the silver mille roo over a mille hen you will bet the hens as silver mille and the roos as mille fluer.

And just mille fluer if you put a mille boy over a silver mille girl.

but I maybe wrong.

Hey GC..did you see the pics of the babies that hatched from your eggs? Couple of pages back...

Wow, you folks really have some awesome stock, I love learning the many colors and mesmerized by your knowledge on breeding. Amazed. I just put another 9 MF eggs in the bator

I keep praying that we don't have a huge issue with the Mareks this time, but we must wait to see if they hatch!!!!!!!!!

Hope your all doing well, staying warm and content. Doug, spring is coming. I heard a chick-a-dee in the trees today singing a spring tune!

Doug, the main issue for me, due to limited genetics, is I NEED other people to start working with this color as well. I NEED others willing to hatch these eggs besides just me and use their stock to DIVERSIFY the lines for all of us interested in the Silvers, ect

I hope to have at least 25-30 chicks to select from. After all, I'm the ONLY person in my area working on certian colors (Blue, Black, Lemon & Silver). I cant always count on henks due to my dilution factors

me outta here. Been a very LONG 2 weeks of this crappy show-n-ice. We are all sick of it and it makes my chores harder, as it does anyone. The yellow will either be GN or a MF. Black chick I'm gonna say will be a silver-laced or Lemon.

Be honest, I need/wanna know.

I am so glad it is supposed to warm up next week. I too am getting sick of having to dump water from my inside faucet with a pitcher into a 5 gallon bucket and carry it out to the coop every day since the outside hose spigot is frozen solid. It was much easier when I only had 1 coop, but now that I have three.....
roll.png

Plus I have two itty bitty coops that will likely be either grow out or trio coops for my d'uccles. Those will be summer coops of course. Of course once it gets above freezing I'll have to start mucking out the yucky muck from the coops that froze solid -- especially in my Jersey Giant coop-- Those birds go out in the rain and snow and track it in on their feet. They keep forgetting to wipe their feet on the doormat!!!
