Get a new friendly roo.
You know you want to..........

Well, it IS kinda pointless to have a pen of purebred hens .............. without a roo ................... huh?

I raised this one from day one. I think he just flat didn't have any fear of me .. then when he got hormonal, he just got mean. I got bit EVERYDAY, twice a day .. and he was brutal with the girls, and attacked the LF chickens when they were out ..

I think he was just evil ..

Soooooooooooo ... I need another roo/cockeral.

I have 2 MF hens
1 BMF hen
1 Goldneck hen
1 BMF with no MF markings .. LOL. (don't know how else to describe her, she is in the picture.

What color roo should I get?

I've had some that I hand-raised that were buttheads. They didn't live long. I don't tolerate that.
Did you ever see the movie "Cold Mountain"? Renee Zellweger cracked me up!!!

d'Uccles are supposed to be sweet. I tolerate a little attitude from TN because it didn't start until after a dog almost ate him while he was protecting his girls. Took him weeks to heal and I was the bad guy medicating him. After I trimmed his spurs he's taken to grabbing my pants leg and shaking it every so often. I hope he gets over that before shorts weather...

I'm partial to milles, but see what's available in your area. Do you have a TSC? Chick days start soon and you might pull a couple of d'Uccle chicks from the bantam bin. Some from there that a friend got turned out real nice last year.

I loved that line! Put him in a pot!

I can't abide a flogging rooster, either. Not sure what I'll do with a pint sized one if he does that. The LF roosters who did are no longer here.

Exactly!

Except for Tennessee.

Beau will probably be better behaved.

That's what he was.

I guess the only diff in Blue and Black MF roo would be the percentage of black chicks, huh? ... Oh, and no splash.

I think I'll stick with BMF.. if I can find a nice one.

You know, if I have to replace a roo, I might as well "trade up" huh?

Let's get a nice (quality) one! lol
