D'uccle Thread

I thought I'd share a few pictures of my newly hatched babies that I got from eggs from Teddiliza. There are 15 of them. Would have been more, but I didn't realize that my humidity reader was reading ROOM humidity. Lesson learned the hard way.

I think she said that they are mostly Porcelain, and a mix of Poreclain/MF and a few MF's

Okay d'Uccle genetics specialists listen to this...

Okay from Lori/Wegotchickens, I have some of her project d'Uccles which are the result of her MF over lavender hens...they are black with gold lacing bleedthrough....not black as the color generators claim they should be...anywhoooo I bred project to project and got

2 black babies and a lavender baby...too young to tell if the blacks will have any hackle markings later on

Also, I bred MF roo to Porcelain hens and got.....wait for it....Porcelains! I was under the impression that I would gt MF babies split to lavender and thus need to breed those offspring to get porcelain. ummmm no

The MF came from Thechickonthehill who got him fro wyldehorses....he is all MF not a split.

So, how does this happen MF/Porcelain = porcelain I will get pic of the babies once I pick them up from the brooder of scbatz33 who incubated them for me because my bator is full teeeheee

I think they are procelain...yellow chicks with greyish blue tones....could it be blue MF or porcelain? Oh well pics i the next day or so when I pick them up.

I am sure there are some to be found near you...I am in Northern Kentucky (just South of Cincinnati), I am incubating eggs right now....so I will have extras I am sure. Not Mille Fleur but a different color variety

I have Mille Fleur and Lavender d'Uccle, and I have a number of Lavender cockerels that are in desperate need of a good home. This has been an absolutely awful spring for my hatching, from my Lavs, cockerels are ALL I HAVE!!!!!

In the MF, this spring, for myself I am only looking to keep an excellent cockerel, so there are several of those available, currently "out of the shell," and I have a small number in the bator right now.
If you want more info just email or PM me and I'll tell you more.

I forgot to tell you I'm outside of New Vienna about 3 miles north, 10 miles south of Wilmington. If you're in western Ohio, we are probably fairly close to each other.

I have a Lav roo over Mille Fluer and Blue Mille fluer and I have some really different chicks that are growing up.
Some are just plain black or blue as expected, some with gold leakage, then I have the special children.
2 are either barred or cookoo. One is brown? And one is a blue or lav with a mahogany chest.
I will try to get pictures up.

We will see how they grow out.
