You aren't allowed to keep roosters where you live? Do you have pictures of him?

I can have roosters as we live in the country... just was hoping for more hens! I have one porcelein rooster already...although he cant seem to figure out his job. He is about 5 months old... grabs on the girls back but forgets to hop on.. lol- it is comical.
The bird is a neat color was hoping for a hen, that is all..

What did you use? Did you soak them in some strong dishsoap water? Bummer on the dirt, glad the mites are gone!

Just bought a pair of Porcelin D'uccles today, who both won overall grandchampion in our local fair, and I absolutely love them! The little rooster gets along fine with my Phoenix roo. I can't wait til this spring when I can get my incubator and hatch D'uccles and Phoenixes. I will try to get some pictures.

Welcome Phoenix Farms! You know, with the d'Uccles, you might not need an incubator, as they often hatch their own!

Don't know about the Phoenix, though. I also own both breeds, but my Phoenix hens are still babies.

I was wondering that. Since they are bantams.

Phoenixes do raise their own usually too. I have a momma who is broody right now but because of winter she won't be hatching babies.

Coffee... not the best pictures but got a few. Of the three d'uccle, the gold is surely a roo, but not sure on the blacks.

It does look suspicious on the golden chick, but not confirmed! Could be a little pullet
