Quote: Awesome! What gives ou the lie mottled? That is on my wish list!
I don't know what you are asking? I take it, that is a typo.
Say I have come to a decision to sell my D'uccle/Booted Bantam pair, Bonnie & Clyde. As much as it kills me, I can't watch those other roosters keep beating on him. Its either sell my two booteds or all nine phoenixes. I love BOTH of my roosters and the hens too, i just cant let them kill poor Clyde. Anyways you know of on how to stop the other roosters from beating on him?

Sorry... I hate my ipad sometimes. It spell checks words, sometimes in other languages even... I was asking what gives you the blue mottled colors? So pretty!
if you have room build them their own pen they really don't need a lot of space but the more the happier, from there you can add more hens. i haven't had a problem introducing new cockerels/roos but all mine are bantams and not different sizes. We have a full fenced in yard and large coop with many roosts also. But my rooster just runs I to a corner instead of running away. We have plenty of hens too.
My roosters get along when they are raised together with hens and such. All my birds are raised in a group setting, and turned out into the larger group in that setting. I have very little fighting for females and roos and hens and roos walk side by side. Introducing a new roo as an adult is different and they do tend to fight. I am having posturing going on right now as I try to introduce the serama roos to the flock. Must be due to the fighter in them.lol. Well good news is roos can get along ok with each other if there's no girls, bad news is that once there's girls.......... . I have a few of these kind of roos together in a coop and they get along pretty good. They even call each other over to food, just as if there was a girl. Some roosters like people! My porcelain roo likes to be held with the girls. (different coop)
The porcelain hasn't crowed yet, either but there is 2 easter egger roos in that coop with him and only the dominant roo has crowed that i've ever heard. They leave each other alone, but that isn't usual. I just happened to find the wusses of the bunch, lol.
