D'uccle Thread

I hatched a chick about 10 days ago from 2 golden necks that is extremely pale yellow. It's wing feathers are coming in now-white and pale yellow with the black dots like a mille. Dare I say it may be citroen ?
Aren't you the one that had the silver mkottled d'uccle? Then it's very likely her chick and yes, it would be a citroen! Congrats! Oh wait, just reread your post that it came from two GNs. Sometimes gold necks are that color because of a certain white gene that dilutes. This might be the case . Can't remember if it's dominant or recessive white.

Hi fellow d'Uccle peeps

. I have a question for you all. Do any of you have any or have seen frizzled d'Uccles????? I love the frizzles but I also really love my d'Uccles. I currently have a trio of the mille fluers, and I LOVE them! I am thinking about introducing frizzle into mine.

Lorilyn farms, what color is the roo in your avatar? His rich, vibrant caramel-golden ground color and glowing, paler feet-floofs are such a delightful combination!

He is a Gold Neck without red diluters. Normally I had buff colored GN, then I started getting those rich mahoghany colors. This is him as a baby.

These were my normal d'uccles.

Him as an adult.

I have a Porcelain booted bantam cockerel for sale, he is 4 months old, and would be great for a breeding program.
I will be going to the Stockton Show in California, so he is available for pre-sale.

This photo was taken 1 1/2 months ago, his vulture hocks are huge now!

Lorilynfarms, he is STUNNING! What a gorgeous boy! His last photo really shows off what an incredibly rich, glowing tone he has. It truly makes his bright, glowingly white foot feathers pop! Even his beard is slightly outlined in brightness. His spots are just lovely, too. You really seem to have a beautiful pattern with him. I'm new and just learning, and the dilutes are pretty too, but WOW the contrast is phenomenal in your richly-hued boy!

He reminds me of one of those caramel-cream bullseye candies. ;)
