D'uccle Thread

Just bought a pair of mille-fleurs a week ago. They are about 8 months old. The hen is still not laying eggs. I thought it was probably the stress of moving into a new coop, but now I'm wondering if the mille-fleurs are late bloomers?
They sure are pretty and super friendly

I really do like the white/black one. That will defintiely be very unique when it matures:) Keep us updated with that little one! The black one didnt have too many feathers on its feet but more may come as it ages...

OK here is an updated picture of my duccle. Its not very white any more but its still really cool.

Just set up a new pen of porcelains,,,,,,

.....and sent a couple little girls and some eggs off to a new home!

I've decided to raise porcelains exclusively as my d'Uccle variety of choice......and of course I have my bantam cochins and LF cochins.

Alright, here's a question. I have 4 Millie Fluer pullets and two of them have the Columbian pattern around there necks along with the spots. The other don't have and Columbian on them. Doesn't mean just those two carry Columbian or they don't? I also have one who is very light and almost looks like one of the Citreon (Spelling sorry!) but she is a little too dark.

It came from two mille fluers that i have. It has to be :)

Is this color called silver? Anyone know?
I've had mille chicks start feathering in silver and black, but then replaced those feathers with the buff. You'll probably just have to wait. But there's always the hope it's a mutation.

The Mille fleur coloration is a combination of the columbian and the mottled gene.
