My d'Uccles had been laying like mad, but now that we had our first big snowstorm, they have slacked off.

im in TEXAS! so not so cold here! a light could be placed out there but i dont want Gomez crowin too early!!! or late!

Ohh I must have checked the wrong profile haha, i made that comment using my phone.... If you use light it would have to be really bright like daylight and consistent to get those hormones going.... but if not id expect within 2 months or so

i use the cfl daylight bulbs.... or should i use a heat lamp?

how many eggs a week do you avg from your uccles

I have 3 d'Uccle pullets which started laying about 2 months ago. Those girls are each cranking out 5 or 6 eggs a week even without supplemental light in the coop. I hatched out 7 of their eggs three weeks ago so my little cockerel is doing his job. Love this breed.
