I had a 3-4 week old chick that I found dead when cleaning out my grow out brooder. I'm not sure if it was smushed (it was next to spot I've noticed they pile in to sleep-wire window to adult coop so I thought they are safe from suffocating) or if wet litter/food/etc could have caused aspergillis grew, it breathed in spores, and was killed by it. Hopefully, I won't find more like that. I had cleaned out most of the shavings but didn't bleach the wooden floors and walls so if it was aspergillis, it's still there.
