D'uccle Thread

A small 15" snake made the fatal mistake of slithering into the chicken run. Boy was that hen entertainment for the afternoon. I believe they ultimately devoured it as I haven't seen it since. When I discovered it initially, they'd pecked it's head off. I rescued this hen in Dec. Any thoughts on what she is? No feathers on her legs.
Almost looks like a speckles Sussex with wayyyy to much white. But the ear lines don't look brown either. Where did you get her from?

She was rescued from an 80+ farm animal hoarder in Dec. I adopted 20 from that rescue and 2 of them are speckled sussex sisters. She came down with dry fowl pox within 2 weeks and spent 4 weeks inside away from the other 6 hens. She's ~4.5-5 pounds and lays med cream-lt brown eggs, typically 5-7 days/week. She's just getting over a little period of broodiness so she's not presently laying.

What does everything think the chances this egg would hatch?? I don't know if it was just an off lay or if a wild bird flew in and laid it. It was in my mottled Duccle coop. I'm setting up the incubator in a couple days and debating on throwing this one in there to try...

It probably doesn't have a yolk. But it is worth a try I have had ones smaller than ping pong balls that still have a yolk

I accidentally ended up with a millie hen at an auction the seller was not around and no one knew what it was. On the auction slip they listed it as something with feathers. So now I either hve to buy a roo or re home her.she is living with my Seramas right now.btw anyone have an extra roo?
