Ok. So as I stated before I now have heard proof that one of the 2 in question is indeed a roo.
I took some pics before I did their treatment today. Forgive the mess as they are in pretty bad shape. Very severe scaly leg mites. Boy what a shocking improvement since yesterday's treatment. Their owner was moving out of state and I offered to take them in. I had no idea the work ahead of us. I'm just glad to care for them.
There are 6 in here and the lighter is the one left in question. Opinions on type are welcome too.
This one is quite a bit smaller and the one I am left questioning boy or girl?

I placed cardboard in the cage as I knew the cage had to hurt their poor feet and with all the goop I've put on their feet I know any bedding would just be stuck all over them.

I plan on treatment again tomorrow then maybe Thursday I will have them in the tub for footbaths! Sigh...They are all so beautiful..it pains me when people don't care for animals. Livestock or not. Ok..sorry I have so many emotions about this!! Rant over.

I don't know type very well, but I think they are all beautiful! The one in question looks roo ish to me, maybe a bit younger or just a smaller bird in General.

Thanks! I don't either..I only have a Hen because on a whim my feed store had a bin of mixed bantam breeds and I'd always thought they were adorable. Having silkie and cochin I knew this little babe with feathered shanks wasn't either of those and sure enough I was right!

The top ones feathering looks like a girl to me but the rest are defiantly boys, very pretty tho =) their poor feet tho, best of luck with their recovery.

Good luck with their legs, that's so sad that they weren't being cared for properly. It's good that they have you to look after them now.

I don't know enough to help with guessing the sex, but they all look like very beautiful birds.

Thanks. Yeah a few of them tried biting the heck out of me. Luckily I had gloves on, my 8 yr old DS wasn't so lucky. Yesterday when I treated them none of them did. Not sure if the fear had passed or they just appreciated the attention. I can't see hardly any of the legs and feet/toes. I'm hoping after the crud is gone they aren't as bad as I fear under there. One definitely has dead toe tissue though so we will see

Just out of curiosity, how hard is it to find homes for bantam roosters like d'Uccles? I've had a rough time finding homes for my LF roosters, and I'm wondering if it's going to be a nightmare to find homes for the little bantam roos, perhaps people will be less likely to want one protecting their flock or just around a farm? Maybe that's not the case. (in my dream world I would not have to find homes for them because I'd have a little rooster colony, but unfortunately right now my neighbors are not up for that)

I'm about positive the top one is a hen...if they are as old or older then you thought she would have saddle and heckle feathers in like the others already.

May have been more painful today now that their feet have softened.
