I love the tiny D'uccle chick!

I need to pose her next to something. the pics are enlarged so she looks 'big'. But she's tiny!!

I meant to ask you how their toes and feathering? This silver chick seems to have lost several on middle, so I'm curious how your babies are?

The 'silver' ones have the best down on their middle toes. But #1 was a toe nibbler for a while (despite piles of food) so her toes and Ms Fragile's toes are kinda bare.
Can't wait to see how Ms Fragile feathers in. So far her feathers are only golden.
#1 may be a blue mille or mille. Hard to tell this early.

Okay I just happened by this thread, after trying to find some porcelain hatching eggs. I have to kids right now Mr. and Mrs Fancy Pants. Is there anyone that might have some hatching eggs for sell? here are my kids

They're so cute!

Well, my future bantam coop was originally going to be 4x6, then we decided that 6x8 might be better. Well, as of today, my DH, after seeing a shed at Home Depot he liked, has decided that it will be 8x12 with four feet of the twelve being a storage/brooder room. The attached pen will also be 8x12. We're going to build it ourselves, though, and save about 2/3 of the price of having one built, maybe even more if we can scrounge well.

No one answered my question awhile back about how much/well these D'Uccles fly. I do plan for the pen to be covered for the D'Anvers, but the D'Uccle trio will be living in the old ladies' coop for awhile, which is not covered except by crisscrossed mason's line.

I remember my grandfather duccles as being great foragers, and some of the highest on the roosts. I never remember them flying though, and the hens were always friendly.
