D'uccle Thread

I have two D'Uccles that look exactly like these. I was told they were both Mille Fluer...does anyone know why they look so different? I'll try and post my pics.

The brown chick on top is definitely mille.
The black chick with the 'penguin' markings is probably a mottled chick. Whether it's a d'Uccle or a cochin I am not sure, but you can tell by the vulture hocks and feathering before the beard makes it obvious.

Peppermint, your black chick could be split to mille fleur, but it will be predominantly black if it is 'penguin-y' like th chick in the 2nd pic.

Does that make sense?

Here are the pics of my two Mille Fleurs. The first one I hatched from a breeder, second one is from a feed store. Sorry, I cannot for the life of me get the second one to upload vertically. I would describe the first one's pattern as being penguin, so I wonder if it will turn out to be mottled.

I wonder... Could these be my granbabies? She just hatched 16 babies from eggs she bought from me....

What cutie pies either way!

I bet they are. They came from a batch of 16 chicks she just hatched.

I finally have eggs from Citrons Coop. There were 2 there on Thursday and none since. The both went straight into the Bator. We will be interested in seeing how they do.
We also have some lavender crossed to Mille Fluer so they should be black and there could be blue mille fluer cross to lavendar in there as well so from that we could bet black or blue.

It is nice to finally get some eggs again.
