Here's a dumb question... Is a Mille Fleur a type of D'uccle?? Are MF and D'uccle 2 different breeds?? I'm confused. LOL

As far as why he's identified as a cockerel, it's because he "LOOKS" like a cockerel. I know that sounds confusing, so the things that I saw that said cockerel to me are his general posture and carriage and he's sporting a roosters comb! He's old enough that anyone who has bred d'Uccle for a while can sex him from the pictures you proved us with.
He actually looks like his color pattern is going to be at least reasonably good.
I have a splash hen that I plan to breed to my Mille Fleur roo so that I can get chicks JUST LIKE YOURS!

also to let you know, I don't think I did a great job of explaining this. There are some people on here that do a VERY good job of educating, maybe they'll jump in here and give us a refresher post on the Andalusian gene.

Ok, I think I've got this right.
These are the pics of the "Black" d'Uccle that was hatched yesterday. It is pictured next to a regular lavender chick - you know, what I was expecting.

It's a d'Uccle, I pulled it out from under a d'Uccle broody and there was no way for anyone else to get to her or any other hen in the pen.
