Good to know! She wasn't allowed to have roosters, so that makes sense. Unfortunately, she had to get rid of the crowing hen because no one believed that it wasn't a rooster and it was bugging the neighbors.
Yes, sometimes if there is no rooster around, the dominant hen will crow and mount other hens!
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
