Took a new pic of my d'uccles today. Still love these guys, they are so calm and sweet.

I have no more d'Uccles, two stray dogs came into my front yard yesterday, and killed all five before I could run them off.

It was a nice day so I let them out in the yard to forage and they did not have a chance, my poor d'Uccles are not afraid of dogs cause our dogs are all trained to be nice to the chickens. I am so sad.


P.S. I will probably be looking for some d'uccle eggs in the spring, if anyone has a suggestion.

I only had mille fleurs, and they where just starting to get there adult colors. Soo cute!

Wow...that sucks big time. I've never lost a hen (although I have come close to it 2 times already) but loosing 5? I can't imagine what it must be like.
