Sad day here in the Palace.
Found my sweet Maizee duck dead. She was wedged between a critter carrier and the wall.
Not sure if she was stuck or if she just hid back there to die..but another duck had wedged herself on top of her and was nearly dead too. It was a horrible sight.
Anyway..call duck owners beware of tight spaces they like to investigate every nook and cranny.

Oh I'm so sorry, she was beautiful

I lost a welshie baby like that. Their duck houses are in the middle of my run now. I hate learning the hard way, these things happen though.

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved seeing pictures of her and her clutch. She was a true beauty.

Did the other duck pass too? Any idea what was wrong with it?

It’s been a sad weekend at the funny farm too. Milo, my 18 1/2 year old cat, passed away. It’s been extremely hard for me.

We only have 4 lovely ducks now, a mallard, pekin, Swedish blue and Pomeranian. At one time we had 8 but a 2 separate mink attacks left us duck less. I would love to get some calls sometime

No, she is ok so far. She was just real thirsty and weak.
Doing better now though.

Yeah he lived a long life. Thanks for the condolences I really appreciate it. I was lucky to have him. He truly was a great cat.

Yeah… mink attacks are horrible we’ve had three invade our coops in the past year and a half and they are just devastating when they attack. Ok a lighter note now!

They are beautiful ducks.

Not sure what mud you are talking about. That is absolutely pristine for ducks . It is always amazing how quickly ducks can turn water brown.
