This was a Pekin Duck egg and the snake didn't succeed. It worked on getting this egg down for well over an hour and had to slither away to find something smaller.

Ha! No, haven't seen any big enough to eat. We mostly have water snakes that the kids like to play with but aren't substantial enough to eat.
I bet they're bony, how could they not be?

We have some here that will total your car if ya run em over. My adopted grandfather ran one over once and it made his car jolt really hard but the snake kept moseying over the road like nothing happened.

I need a snake.

How have I NOT found this thread yet, count me in. We’ve raised Khakis over the years and I honestly cannot imagine us not having ducks. I always loved chickens and when my husband said we should get ducks too, I kind of scoffed. But our very first Khakis were angels and I really loved them, and they’re such amazing companions. Count me in, ducks for life!
