Duck attacked by something

I think you have honestly done everything at this point. Once you add the stuff into the water, spray her wound and keep it clean and her water fresh, and I do mean very fresh, there isn’t much else to do. Let us know tomorrow how she is doing.

I have a year old female Pekin duck that got attacked today by something, possibly raccoon, fox, coyote, owl, not exactly sure. They free-range during the day & wander down to the creek in the woods behind our place. I found her & got her home & cleaned up the best I could. Have sprayed the beak with vetrimycin and have her in a kennel inside the run so she's closer to the male. She's drinking normally, which surprised me. Is there anything else I should be doing?
Poor baby I hope she returns to good health soon. :hitAlso :welcome

Main thing is watching for infection now. Hopefully doing all that has been advised will keep that from happening looks like what ever got hold of her grabbed her on the face and for some reason didn't get to proceed any further thank goodness. She is sure going to be sore for a while though. Using ACV at 1-2 Tab per gal of water hasn't really much taste to it I use it all the time for my birds. Make sure to get the one with mother in it. Keep the wound clean and keep her as warm and dry as possible because shock can kill them too. Offer wet feed you can even put some warm water and acv[teaspoon] into it to help keep it from molding but change out the feed daily. I sure wouldn't let either out with what ever got her is still around and will be wanting to finish the job.

Poor baby and you:hugs

Do you think I should let her out of the kennel in the run? We've also got chickens, but I'm keeping them separated for the time being, so it's just the 2 ducks in the run now. I was going to put the kiddie pool in there so she could clean herself off a bit. She's not the friendliest 'little' thing once I catch her to work with! Very independent!! And these 2 have been together since bringing them home at 1 week old, he's the one who squawked at me none stop when I got home yesterday to alert me she was injured. And he's definitely not friendly, usually runs for me as fast as he can!
And I'm going to give mash this morning & get the probiotics & nutrients recommended. Anything else besides cleaning & spraying with vetrimycin?

She's her normal, try to catch me gal this morning! Had a heck of a time getting her out of the kennel, but once I did I cleaned her wounds & got them sprayed down with vetrimycin. I did find a bottle of powdered vitamins & electrolytes that I had gotten for an injured hen a month ago, so she's gotten mash with vitamins & electrolytes for breakfast! But I could not get her back into the kennel, so she's snuggling with her man in the run now.
I'm going to try to get another pic this afternoon of her bill, I just don't think I'm getting it cleaned the best, but I also think a lot of it is the injury.
Her name is Aflac as our granddaughters said she looks like the duck on tv! And her man is Daffy! Thanks for all the help & encouragement!
