No, oranges. I pick up the ones that fall to the ground to keep it away from them.

The behavior in our first two Mallard hens is so different over the other Rouen/Pekin ducks. I understand there is a pecking order in the flock, no different from other animals who live in groups. Without Question Miss Piggy and Porky run the show even though they are half the size of our other ducks. It's actually kind of funny at times to watch especial when it comes to quality pool time. Them two can usually keep the other ducks out of the pool until they are over run by three or more. They then jump out of the pool and start being real chatty and Porky starts to do her little head twisting dance to show the others she is not very happy over what just happened. To Funny !

I am going to go out on a limb on this on and say....... Flocks consisting of different breeds IMO would be similar to people of different cultures, might not be able to understand the dialect, but body language would be the universal form of communication.

Usually what I see is two manly drakes standing tall while their females head bob bending side ways as they do it. It's quite hilarious.
