duck behavior

[Chick_in_Indiana]

my husband wants to get a domestic mallard or a rouen (male) this spring. I already have a female pekin (Quackers) and a male muscovey(Quagmire) who seems to be protective of the female. I want to get a chick but I heard it is hard to bring in little ones with an adult male already there. Has anyone had such expieriences. Any ideas how to make the transistion. Thanks.

Having more male ducks than females is never a good idea. Your lone female won't get any peace once there are 2 adult males.

my ducks seem to actcept when i add new ones but . i do have a ton of females and about the same in males .. but i agree more males ?? one female maybe not the greatest .. but im not sayin it wont work ..
