Duck Breed Focus - Indian Runner

Could it have maybe been some sort of tumor or infection or something?
My duckies gorge themselves before they go in for the evening (they know there is no food in the duck house). About half of them look like that in the evening (both my Swedish, Mystique, Pocahontas and Rhiannon and maybe occasionally Tella or Ettie). None look like that in the morning. So in my case I think it is just the ones who really load down their crop. If it is there all the time though, there might be something wrong with his crop, but you said it is gone now so I am guessing either it cycles like my ducks and you just started noticing it, or maybe there was something that was blocking the crop for a while then broke down enough to pass??? How is his breath??? Ducks shouldn't have any smell (other than what is smeared on their bills) on their breath. If it is stinky, maybe some sour crop or infection is going on. If it comes and goes and his breath is OK, he is probably just a pig

Hmmm... I was worried about infections/tumors as well, but Zuko is an absolute glutton... and it first showed up after we had some people over whose kids couldn't get enough of throwing the little peepers koi pellets... Was he just fat this whole time? Haha! He's always seemed healthy otherwise, and he's always the first to try to eat new things, and then gorge on them. I recently eased off on the pellets and started giving sprouted lentils as treats, maybe that's why he lost it?

My runner/mallard mutt. I believe she is from my mallard drake and from my fawn and white runner. Just look at that color!

Not a runner, but a Pekin/mallard cross (I think), but it's a flappy pic!!
