Do you know how long you can use a drake in a small gaggle before interbreeding is an issue? I have about six hens and two drakes.one is runner,quit a twit , the rest are mascovies.

It takes a while before it becomes a problem. Muscovies and other breeds of ducks can breed together, but when they do their offspring is sterile.

I DO get excited about animals. That I admit. I'm not exactly a fan of shopping either...unless it's an animal store.
