So I’m not sure where I should post since i’m new here but please do delete my post if it’s not allowed.
my aunt bought a whole tray of supposedly unfertilized duck egg but one happened to hatch. We know the chances are slim but we want to at least try to make it survive. The duckling is alive and all but we don’t really know what to do next. We need help and as much as possible something that can only be found out home because our country is on lockdown because of covid thank you

:welcome

Leave it in the incubator till it drys off, then you can put in a brooder with a heat lamp/heat pad with food and water. Could you take it out of the egg carton? So it can move around and get out of the shell?

We don’t have anything like that... my aunt bought the unfertilized egg for consumption and we really aren’t planning on hatching some but that one egg just hatched. Do you know any alternative for incubators or heat lamps? the covid lockdown in our country also make us unable to go out to buy for supplies

How did you hatch the egg? It'll need a steady heat source to keep the temp around 95F

We honestly don’t know how it hatched but it was bought as a “penoy” egg which are unfertilized duck eggs. My cousin just sent me this pic and it doesn’t look like a duck lol when it’s supposedly a duck.... i also added the egg it came with

That's a chicken, How warm is the room that they're in? They don't just hatch in room temperature, they need warmth around 99.5f to hatch.
the temperature went up as high as 36 degrees celsius (96.F) earlier during the day since we are in a tropical country. We honestly don’t know how it happened and they originally thought it was some bird that fell from the open ceiling.
