By around five days of incubation you'd see life.If you have a male duck to deposit the sperm, a females eggs will be fertile. But if you don’t have a male, no they won’t be fertile. It also depends on the male. If he’s just learning, they may not all be fertile. Mine fell off the ladies and couldn’t stay balanced on them to save his life. So I just new the eggs weren’t fertile, but they were. LolAm I wrong or right?? I thought duck eggs were always fertile.

All of them that hatched were females??? I’d be using that drake over and over and selling those babies!Ok. Because my girl sat on eggs last year and all the chicks were female, so yes. All my eggs are fertile then, but I’m not allowed to hatch anymore ducks![]()

More than one drake?Hah! It was a mix of pekin and Runner, both of my girls hatched females, so I’m lucky I got to keep em. Mom said “you can keep the females but no males”![]()

Amazing! I just assumed most species were the same. Learn something new everydayIt's actually the females that determine the gender of the offspring in birds, so it's actually the girls that you'd wanna keep in that scenario![]()
