so I have a Muscovy duck a little over a year old. She has always had more of a waddle than my other duck almost like something was wrong but she never let it slow her down so I figured that just the way she walks. I went on vacation recently and the person that was watching my animals said she wouldn’t move or get up to go on her house for the night. So they picked her up and put her in her house. In the morning she was the same walk a little then fall over and not move. They put her in a kennel with food and water right next to her in the shade. It was 118 degrees in California this weekend so I thought maybe she over heated. I got home two days later I got home and she looks fine. Eating and drinking normal but she was still falling over. I put her in a pen in the shade with lots of water puddles and food to contain her to a smaller area for her to be safe from predators and for observation. It’s been 3 days now she seems like she’s walking around more but if she moves to fast she falls down?? I’m not sure if she hurt her leg or I was reading something about calcium deficiency or b12 or niacin deficiency. Any suggestions would help these are my first ducks.
