Duck has a problem!

@DuckyDonna, is a vet an option? If not, and you feel an egg, you could try giving calcium gluconate or calcium citrate and let her soak in a tub of warm water.

I'm sorry but I just watched a show where a Duck internally laid a shelled egg and needed surgery to have it removed.
Maybe that duck's reproductive tract tore and deposited the shelled egg into the abdominal cavity, but I promise everyone that eggs do not travel back up the reproductive tract and get deposited into the abdominal cavity.

I have treated many egg bound hens, and I have necropsied many internal layers and have never found a shelled egg in the abdominal cavity.

Good links that explain what internal laying is:

Thanks for your information. I really appreciate it. I dyed her vent last night with food color and she did not lay an egg. I'd been wondering who's not been laying as I have 6 girls and the most eggs I get is 5. Anyway, my plan today is to give her a warm bath, wrap her in a towel with DH holding her and do a digital exam with lots of vaseline. I will also make sure she gets a real good dose of calcium gluconate while he's holding her down.
