Well, the nightmare hatch continues. It seems like it'll never end! I've got two very weak babies. I'm worried that I'll find they've passed when I go to check them.

But the upside is that I now have a goosie pipped!

I just had one pass on me... Some one filled the water dish and left them alone, the one that was realllly weak and i think a bit premature i had found him in the water dish
Hopefully yours will pull threw !!!!

I've got three that are very weak. They're not taking water yet, but I'll worry if they aren't by tomorrow. I hope they either pass or improve overnight. I've got two out of three trying really hard to walk, so

Ok, so I have a Silkie Showgirl for sure broody. I put her in a crate with a couple of her eggs and she tucked them up under her and settled in. Tomorrow, I'm going to give her some Call duck eggs...trying to decide how many will fit. I'm also probably going to put another batch of eggs in the bator. I think I still have the one Call egg growing that is due the 16th/17th

Update: 1 Call baby still going, due the 17th. I've got 9 or 10 going, due the 27th. This afternoon I'm going to set probably 5 under a broody Silkie, and 17 or so in the bator. Sure hope I get some babies out of all of this!

Just picked up 5 more saxony ducklings from Holdereads to go with the 3 I hatched last week. Amazing how much they grow in 6 DAYS!! So far all seem to be getting along, eating, an drinking (nice to have olders show them how). Anyone had any problem mixing ducklings 6 days apart?? I sort of hatched to coincide with my order, worked fairly well. Aww duckies, now if I can get any calls to hatch. Hoping some of you all's luck will rub off, lol.

I want to join in!! I put a Dozen Cayuga eggs in on the 5th and I have more coming in tomorrow that are all surprise Duck Eggs. This is my first time hatching Duck eggs......I have hatched plenty of chicks. I also have Sebastopol eggs that I put in on the 5th. This will be a lot of fun!!!
