I live about 2 hours from any big town. The closest small town is about 45 minutes away. We sometimes will not go to town for about a month. I love being out in the middle of nowhere!

lol And I thought I was out there. We have to drive 30 minutes to get to a grocery store. The closest town only has 900 people lol. I love living out here, I've done city life (Chicago) and I will never go back.

The ducks eggs are coming from ebay and I put a bid on some guinea eggs. I bought the Little Giant 9200.

Awesome! What color of Guineas? While herding the chickens and guineas into the coop for the night I found a guinea egg just laying in one of the cow pens! That goofy hen! I will be setting it tomarrow if I get my duck eggs in. I'm going to go hunt in the hay and see if I can find anymore eggs.

Awesome! What color of Guineas? While herding the chickens and guineas into the coop for the night I found a guinea egg just laying in one of the cow pens! That goofy hen! I will be setting it tomarrow if I get my duck eggs in. I'm going to go hunt in the hay and see if I can find anymore eggs.

Ditto! From time to time I've lived in a small town or on a military base. But I always have a garden and used to long for the country. Now that I'm finally back "home" I've never been happier!

Ive got babies..woohoo.... 5 out so far, 2 sitting in half shells getting stronger and one chipping away at its shell.. Not bad... 8 out of 10 good..Tossed an egg this morning that the shell was starting to turn colors.. Figured id better get it out before it exploded.....Looks like it died a couple of days ago...Tossed another a few days ago for the same reason... Other than that, everythings been fertile..

Got one week before the next batch starts to hatch.. then after that, I think im in trouble.. I didnt realize I put them in the incubator only 4 days apart... I might be buying another incubator to use as a hatcher...

THEN.. to top it all off.. Ive got my order from Holderreads coming the second week of April....10 Bantam Australian Spotteds.. Im gonna have ducklings coming out of my ears... woohooo for me...
