I've seen it done, but they didn't lock them up.

They also had the floating "island" on a zip line, so they could bring it to shore to clean out.

The zip line is a good idea, I was hoping not to lock them up if I could get them to live on the island, guess I could try pulling it in and feeding them on it when there young so they know that's were they belong. I have a fox hanging around that is stealing the nabors goose eggs. The geese just lay them anywhere and don't seem to care and I think the geese are to big for the fox to have a go at them. Great ideas on here, will be starting duck pen soon.

That is nice Fanci, I have always wanted to set up a little water fall, the sound of running water is relaxing. Do you have any power out there for a pump?

no not yet. When I go to clean it out I take the pump out on an extension(sp?) cord, but no permanit power yet.

Has anyone found a duck starter feed with no medication in it for the baby ducks on the internet? I would like to get everything together before ordering with Ideal.
