Duck Houses

I was just looking at McMurrys they seem to have all different feeds with no med. for young and older ducks. I will see what the feed store has maybe get lucky and they will have the agri-master

Nothing fancy, we just used a Little Tikes playhouse to mostly keep a heat lamp when its really cold at night (they never go in there!) and keep their food from getting wet. They only go in there to eat and then come right out. I keep a couple of water tubs outside in the pen and have just surrounded the house with horse fencing. Works great and pretty much no cost!

Wow this is an old thread and those orange ducks are easter ducks...they are pekin ducklings died orange for easter!

You don't have to feed your ducklings medicated starter feed. Regular "non-medicated Chick Starter" feed is fine. I have ducks and chickens and when I got them four months ago, I knew I could not feed my ducklings medicated chick starter as it will kill them. Therefore, they got the chick starter that both the chicks and ducks ate....moved them to crumbles and will give them pellets when they are older. They are healthy and beautiful.

Thank YOU ALL for your pictures of your duck houses and ponds!!!! So beautiful! I am definitely getting some ideas from you all but would like to see smaller duck houses, if possible. Anyone out there have smaller houses?

I realize after reading so many posts that most of your ducks don't go inside at night. However, with my set up and no free ranging for them, I guess it's easier for me to get my ducks inside and out of the weather and wind, as I herd the chickens and ducks from the kennels into the run each evening and lock them up securely.

I have four month old Welsh Harlequin females, and am wondering if any of you have WH and approx. how old they were when they started laying eggs? I am soooo looking forward to those eggs!!!

Hey guys! I just got four babies today. I live in Michigan and tonight it will get down to 26. I have my little guys in this

They seem very comfortable at 80 degrees. Should I turn it up?
