First I must apologize as I have no picture. Only a video which I cannot upload.
I was at our local wetlands this other day and came upon a trio of mystery ducks. I have been all over the internet and cannot ID them.
All three had white heads and necks.
Two had black bodies with black mottling on a white breast.
One had a brown body with brown mottling on a white breast.
Their beaks were sort of a pink/red combo.
And I guess the most unique thing was this sort of "pharaoh" dance they all did together with their necks.
In the video I took, they are sitting down, so I can't see their feet.
Perhaps they are a mutation, but they were quite unique looking. On a second visit, when hissed at by a goose, they again did the unique neck dance.
Any guesses?
Thanks.
