Hi! I’m in Delaware USA and new to the world of poultry. My dad had chickens and quail when I was younger, but this is the first time experiencing ducks!

I currently have 2 call and 3 buff duck eggs in the incubator, due to hatch any day now (currently day 24)! 🤞🏼

I love to garden and spend time with my 2 young kids, dog, and cats. I’m mostly a SAHM rn but side hustle making wildlife conscious bath and body products (kindandsimple.store).

I’ve heard of BYC over the years but never explored it formally until I got these eggs. As a wildlife conservationist and former zoologist I thought it would very exciting to try to hatch our own duck eggs, but it’s proving much more stressful than anticipated! So hard not to fall in love with these little things that ultimately might not make it.

We’re in the homestretch now. Wish us luck!
