Duck not eating or moving!

He is already now standing up, but I am struggling to Use the syringe to feed him and can’t find any videos on youtub.
whenever I try he gets really stressed and shakes his head about. Any tips On how to open his mouth without him moving?
When I had to give my duck medicine, the vet advised to try putting the medicine on a treat, and only syringe it into her mouth if she absolutely will not eat.
Have you tried putting the medicine on a treat? If he will eat his favourite treat, that would be a less stressful way to go about it. Otherwise, you may want to wrap him in a towel, and have someone hold him while you try. Do you know how to syringe it into his mouth? It has to be done very carefully as they can choke easily

No not really, the vet showed us how to give him anti biopics but not the food and water. The treat thing will not work as he wont eat anything or even drink not even his favourite mealworms

Do you mean the vet gave you a reg syringe to feed him with?
here is info on giving liquid meds which might also work on syringe feeding but tube feeding is much better.

When I first started using syringe or tube feeding I sat on the floor wrapped my duck in a towel to keep her calm and used both my legs to hold her still that way I have both my hands to use to pry open the bill and feed or give meds.

here is the info on tube feeding

Glad to hear your boy is doing better. You may want to offer him some electrolytes in his water, since he hasn't been drinking and eating much before. It will help him hydrate. Some Gatorade or Pedialyte will work.
I have added poultry vitamins to his water and will add some electro lights now. Thankyou for everyone’s help, hopefully he will push through this.
we have to go back to vet in 2 days for another check over And so she can just check he is getting better ❤️‍🩹
