Only 10, but this size should be good for up to about 15 and the pump should work for a much bigger pool. The only time they all crowd in at once is when I give them peas.

Another tip; turn the pump off before giving them treats in the pool.

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm not so sure about the "great" part, but it does work and the quackers seem to like it. Necessity is the mother etc. etc.

Question though...any idea what the operating cost is to run this full time (electricity)?

No idea, but I haven't seen any appreciable change in my electric bill.

Water usage is down though. The pool that I'm using holds ~125 gallon and changing it twice a day was a bit wasteful.

Hi. So now that this has been up and running for over a week, how are you finding it works? I recently got rid of all my chickens, as no one was eating the eggs and my friend needed more layers, and so I am going to convert their run into the new duck coop. I would love to incorporate this into my new area if it works well.

Here it is! The long awaited instructions on how to make a filter and shower for your quackers. Sorry it took so long, but I wanted to work out all of the bugs before posting.

It's actually been up and running with only minor tweaks for over 6 months.

It's easy to convince him. Just let him change out the pool for a couple of days. Mine holds about 125 gallon and that's 1041.25 pounds to dump. It's not about the ducks, it's about my aching back, not to mention the water bill.
