In an attempt to keep my chicks and ducks warm, and save on the cost of heating, my ducks join my chicks each night. This morning, one of my ducks has blood on her wing. I cleaned it with and the wound doesn't look threatening, and she's flapping it with no problem. Is there any other medical treatment she needs? She got in the pool and cleaned it as well.
Million dollar question . . . did the close quarters cause the chicks to attack their new roommates or was it a simple act of nature during mating? My ducks seem very aggressive during this and I often worry about my girls safety.
Will the other ducks go after the blood and should I keep her isolated?
Thanks in advance for your help.
