My coop almost burned down last week! The chicks knocked the light over in the coop. I happened to walk in there when the fire just started burning. Thank goodness it was just a tiny flame that was easy to put out. Just a little burnt hay, and smoking smelling birds lol. The chicks knock everything over! They're going without a light for now until I can get some rope lights with a timer or something.
So last night I was going to lock the ducks up and I noticed that Lily (one of my ducks) was slightly limping I grabbed her and gave her a glance over but I don't see much of anything that might make her limp. I'm going to go look at her now to see if she's still limping or not but if so what should I do?

My baby boy Pekin is limping too! As long as she's walking on it and there's nothing like bumble foot or something stuck in her foot, it's probably just a soft tissue injury (which is probably what my baby boy has as well). It could of happened from getting out of the pool and landing wrong or something like that. If you really want her to heal up quickly, she needs to be put in a small pen like the one I used for Flapper to keep her from stressing her foot anymore:
I kept the pen in the coop with the coop door open so that Flapper could see his buddies that were in the run. I did that so I wouldn't have to keep moving it back and forth everyday because I didn't want him to be out at night.
You could also keep her in a large storage bin in your house and see how she does. Just watch her and see if she's eating. If she's not eating, then she's sad because she misses her ducky friends.
Ducks like to knock their dishes over in small confinements though, and that causes the bin to stink really bad! So limited feed and water is probably best. You could let her eat with the others, and just give her some water a few times a day. I'm not sure where your duckies spend most of their days, but just make sure she's able to do anything that would stress her foot, and that she's eating. You could also do Epsom Salt compresses twice a day, and warm water therapy in the tub. Just don't let her fly out of the tub! Flapper did that a couple of times.

Thanks. No, the vet didn't think so like we thought. She said Lab and something else. His parents could of been mixed too so that makes it complicated.
