Duck with sprain or brake? (Possible infection or re-injured after surgery) [PICTURES]

So I just finished soaking her foot in ES and I noticed under the florescent light that the black patch on her ankle is actually red... so I think it's blood under the skin. I'm thinking it's a brake and completely unrelated to the surgery she had on her toe joint (although it is swollen there as well). Does anyone know what a vet would do for this type of brake and have an estimate on the cost?

There's nothing obvious, but it could be a fracture or something on the inside that we can't see. What do you think?

If it's a fracture I think it will change color in a few days.
